Post Average MPG way off

I am trying the lite version and my truck is rated at 14 mpg city 17 mpg highway. I just did a run to the corner store and it gave me an average of 21 mpg. I have entered the correct weight of the vehicle. What am I missing?

Also is there a way to retain the ave mpg between sessions? It went zero when I started today but I have recorded ave mpg prior.

I suggest giving it a much bigger trip to work with – if you had some uphill it will make a difference and the numbers quote by the maker are only achieved over lost of miles on various terrains.
