Post Custom init string for JDM Toyota Mark x
on: August 13, 2019 (GMT)

Hello Everyone,

Ive been at this for years now with countless Obd2 scanners and none has been successful with Jdm Vehicles .. This time i purchased BAFX3127 scanner from amazon . I happen to find a forum where init strings were being discussed i tried the init strings for a Mr2 and toyota altezza . Sad to say it did not work. So here i am seeking your help. Hopefully someone here has mastered this..
I own a Toyota Mark X 2008 JDM 2500cc
Chassis GRX120
Engine 4GR
in need of init string for 2008 Toyota Mark x Jdm

It would be a blessing to get this working with Torque..
Thanks In advance

-in the profile, select the preferred protocol ISO 15765-4 (11/500)
-In the profile, put the checkbox “Use alternate OBD header”
-in the initialization string in the profile atsp6\natsh7e0
-csv file with PIDs placed in the .torque\extendedpids folder
-in settings – section management external PID – add your PID set
-in the dashboard, create new devices from the list of PIDs of your set

Hi Cintakc,

I’m thankful for all the information.
However I’m lost when I got to the csv part of it.
I’m now wondering is it possible to pay for a copy of torque with all this information for my specific vehicle already pre loaded. Like I said I’m a novice . I’ve been trying to get this sorted out over 5 plus years 1st with a nissan tiida jdm and now with a Toyota mark x..

folders with a dot in front are hidden folders, to make them visible, you need to give permission in the explorer “Show hidden folders”

Hi,
In .torque Created a ” extendedpids” I then followed your instructions.
“in settings – section management external PID – add your PID set”
I created Pid sets using the information from the Toyota Can Csv files
That went well..
I went to settings “manage extra pids/sensors
Add custom pid
Then I added predefined list which gave me the option to upload Toyota Can..
I connected to the car but the app cant load my model … im stuck here

Now you need to create new devices on the dashboard by selecting them from the csv file list
