Post I need help With my Jeep

I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler with a misfire. I have bought two (2) adapters. With the first one I only get 4 of the PIDs shown and they are all to do with a Chrysler transmission. And by the way I have a 5 speed. The second adapter doesn’t show any PIDs at all. So is there an adapter someone can recommend for an older 1998 Jeep. Or is there anyone here who can walk me through what I may be doing wrong.
