Post Vehicle profile -Boost adjustment, OBD speed multiplier, Other settings?? Audi A4 B6 1.8T
on: April 26, 2019 (GMT)

Hi.
Im using latest pro version 1.8.205.
I live in London UK, average barometric pressure 14.5 psi, 36ft (11m) above sea level.
My car is 2004 Audi A4 B6 1.8Turbo intercooled BFB engine.

So, I want the most accurate as possible Turbo Boost and other readings.
What adjustments should I do in the app, as in vehicle profile, or adapter settings? I am using the MAP sensor so far.
People who have both mechanical /torque pro gauge say that torque pro is about 3-6psi out compared to the mechanical gauge even after considering barometric pressure.

Does the latest app allready automatically calculate the final number considering the barometric pressure, or it still need to be done manually?
What is the default built in pressure that it calculates from, its 0 psi?

Also, Im running 19inch wheels instead of factory 18, should I multiply at OBD speed with a number < or > than 1.

Any help and other tips I will greatly appreciate.

What does Boost reading show with
KOEO?

Edit: I’ve finally realised that the post from the link you shared answers a lot of my questions. Cheers.

Okay, I done some quick research.
I found KOEO is key on engine off.

I havent check the readings, but what should I see?

I guess if I see zero, then its set properly, if I see a negative number, I must add to the boost adjustment? if the ignition is on but engine is off, its just reading the actual atmospheric pressure right?

Im sorry if I overcomplicate it, Im at work, posting without thinking much.

As I remember the needle is pointing to a negative figure.

With KOEO you will read atmospheric
conditions on your MAP sensor. Since
Boost = MAP – Baro you should read
zero. (If not, adjust as necessary to
achieve zero).

Torque will try to read Baro from your
vehicle (0133), from your phone or if
neither are available, will default to 14.6
if I remember correctly.

Once properly adjusted to match zero
don’t see how the boost would be off
by 3 to 6 PsiG unless the MAP reading
is off or scaled differently.

I turned the ignition on, but the boost level shown was just a line: ” – “.
I played around with adjusting the boost, it did not change anything no matter what number I typed in (negative or positive figures).
I dont think my car has barometric sensor, netiher my phone.
What other option I have?

When I start the engine, the boost gage goes to vacum mode and shows about -13 if i remember it right.

Actually people say the intake manifold of my car has a barometric sensor connected to MAP, to be able to adjust for the elevation.

Assuming you are using MAP for Boost
calculation method under settings…

you might try adding a display specific
for MAP and BARO to view sensor readings.

Intake Manifold Pressure [0b]
Barometric Pressure (from vehicle) [33]

The Turbo Boost and Vacuum display has
special coding associated with it that changes
units. (Boost psig and vacuum inHg).
