Post Flash F150 Brake Controller

I am installing an OEM brake controller in my 2018 F150 and I am told that I need to flash the software system so my truck “knows” it has the new device. I see people saying to use Forscan but I was curious if, and how, Torque can be used to flash my truck since I already have the app. Thanks!
