Locale? Really? So it’s actually a Swedish bug? Haha I was only joking before. As always, many thanks för your support Ian!

Don’t know, but as Ian was helped by your video (Malmö area?) = I would say no, I would still have the same issue as it seems to have to do with the locale settings. As he seems to know what is wrong and will fix it I’m not sure I will even test it. Good that you post the video though.

This is much better. Which video codec do you use?

Wow, impressive redline at 8500 :) What car is that?

Now need to find a way to integrate the shift lights plug-in during recording (but not in the recording itself) :)

Just surviving, trying to avoid speeding tickets.

Try the Shift Lights for amazing Torque!

Great! Thanks speed2006 for the videos, looks really good. I haven’t had time testing except verified that the map is replayed for the first time (not sure if I will use it but now it works!). Wanted to use the plugin before the snow comes… now I just need to find “the” road. Thanks!

Hi Ian

Nice improvement, the analog display of the values is much better. Now I miss only the Acceleration widget;-)

For the G sensor and display i miss a + – maximum value marker.
In general, the representation of the sensors a bit too small

The Google Maps integration works well now. I would prefer it if the map is displayed only in a small window?

And last, one touch recording toggle would be nice

Thanks for the great advances

Markus

Just thought I’d share a quick vid of my cars 2nd to 3rd gear acceleration…

Middle gauge is boost, and yes it is correct… my car has a 4lt Twin Cam Turbo 6 cyl, they run very low boost from factory but still make 245kw and 480nm.

The dinging noise you hear towards the end is the speed warning which is set to 135kph!

Here’s the current progress on the video exporter:

The core is done, now I just have to make a nice GUI to go with it.

Do you have a guestimate when the exporter will be released?

“When it’s done” (yes, I know that doesn’t help much)

It could be anything from next week, to next 2 months, but it is being worked on.

EDIT: (Or at the current rate, a beta *might* be out this weekend)

When running the track recorder on the Bionic, all of my videos have green and pink stips running up an down the recoeding. It looks fine while recording but play back has the issue. I feel like I’m in the Barney matrix. I have tried all of the video settings with no luck. I tested the video recorder outside of Torque and it appears to work fine. Thanks for the help. I’m running at Roebling and was so hoping to get some good videos of Porsches and Ferraris blowing my doors of lol.

Yes, the bionic has some issues with the camera drivers like the SGS2, however it’s a bit more problematic than the SGS2 as I managed to find some settings that work (without the green stuff) on the samsung. Unfortunately the same workaround doesn’t work on the bionic.

At the moment, there’s not much information on what’s going on floating about the net (from my searches), it’s definitely a camera bug, and should be fixable in a firmware update (might be worth checking for one). This and the SGS random upside-down video are 2 top bugs that are being looked at at the moment

Hi!

There is now a beta of the track recorder video exporter/encoder. It’s (very) untested, might not work for some people (etc, etc). The software is *very* beta. There are a few bugs to do with scaling that will get fixed as time goes on. This is a sort of pre-release to see if it works for people!

I have the .jar opened. It says to hook up device in usb disk mode. It then says select a file. How do I select a file for encoding? Do it on the phone or laptop?

You just need to hook the phone up in USB storage/disk mode and the files will appear in that window then you should be able to select one.

If it’s not showing (I’ve just tested on a windows box here) then you’ve found a small bug…… which I just happen to have now fixed (and updated the above link)

It should now work on windows if you get the updated TorqueEncoder2.jar

Hi
I have the same problem, the Desire HD is connected in HD Mode and reported as HD Kingston(M:) in the windows box. TorqueEncoder is running and shows no videos. I have the same problem on Windows 7 (64Bit) and Windows XP (32Bit) with TorqueEncoder.jar and TorqueEncoder2.jar.
Is there a workaround to copy the Video files first to the windows box? On which location is TorqueEncoder searching the videos?
Thanks

Hi

Did you reboot after installing Xuggler?

Is the SD card (with the recordings on) readable – in your M:, is there a ‘torqueRecorder’ folder at the top level of it(which inside has numerically numbered folders only)?
