Hi, I just had this problem so downloaded torque lite to a different device and it connected fine. The adapter behaved as you described.
I uninstalled torque Pro on my device, also unpaired adapter from phone and used a file manager to delete torque from device memory.
Paired adapter to phone, Re-installed Torque Pro and now working as well as before.

There may be a simpler solution but that’s how I concluded it was Torque&Phone not the adapter. Down side is I have to reconfigure the Display’s and settings in Torque again.
