Post Torque pro to can bus
on: October 26, 2018 (GMT)

All this stuff is kinda out of my experience level but here is what i tried to do. Car is a 90 skyline gtr with a haltech platinum ecu which has a can bus output. I got a obd2 connector from the junkyard and made a harness to go between my ecu and obd2 connector. I wired in ground/ignition/can hi/and can low. Connected a obd link mx which connected to my phone but did not talk to the ecu in the torque app. Is this even possible. I know the vehicle is not obd2 but you are able to pull data from the ecu through the can bus with a 0 digital dash. Any help is appreciated

Can bus is just a type of communication

the can bus port is just there for there own device wide band /display

and i suspect that the univesel haltech doesn’t have the software to drive OBD2 thru that port

was working on my hyundai genesis … but mine was a plug an play version with some OBDII support

i would say go on the haltech forum for more info
