Post New TP user needs guidance on PIDs
on: October 7, 2018 (GMT)

I installed the Torque app on my phone(the paid version) and hooked it up to my car no problem. When I add a display the parameter list has a lot of items that are not green and are therefore unavailable to me. I get the fact that not all of these parameters might not be available on my car. Depend on teh protocol. But things like short term fuel trims bank 1, which I can see on my other scanners, are not available. I have tried the auto detect OBD protocol setting and also the specific OBD protocol for my vehicle. No joy. Tried it on my tablet too. Same isue.

The puzzle is that these parameters were visible on TorqueLite so I know that my EML327 wifi adapter is ok. They are also available on OBDFusion and OBD Auto Doctor.

Does anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix? I can;t see anyway of enabling these black items. If I do a reinstall will I have to pay for this app again?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers

You may need to set the correct header to
use in the custom init string.
