Post Worrkhorse/Allison Trans temp?
on: June 12, 2018 (GMT)

I have a ’04 Workhorse chassis (motorhome) with an 8.1L (Chevy) engine and an Allison 1000 transmission. I’m trying to get Torque Pro to give me the transmission temp, but not having any luck. The only PID that gives anything is the [GM]Transmission Fluid Temp (GM Method 2), but that just reads a constant 111.8F. I have found some info online about getting the temps for this transmission on a Scangauge by using the following parameters:

Scangauge settings to read Allison 1000 temps:
TXD 6C10F122194001
RXF 046205190640
RXD 3008
MTH 00090005FFD8
NAM TFT

But these mean nothing to me and I’m not sure if they can somehow be used to create a custom PID for Torque Pro. Anyone care to weigh in? Thanks.
