I have the blue driver OBD2
Scanner and I was trying to use it with Torque Pro Software and I found the post that said that the manufacturer has locked the scanner downdown

I would like to know which OBD scanners work with Torque Pro Hardware so I can purchase one and use this great software thank you

Hello Jgaylor,
Unfortunately there is no simple answer.
Torque communicates with OBD adapters using ELM327 protocol. Absolute majority of the adapters on the market are Chinese clones and do not contain chips (PIC) with genuine ELM firmware. Firmware revision is often spoofed. The good news is that there isn’t that much in the game. You typically spend

Hi, this is the only scanner that I know of that uses the genuine ELM chip.
