Hello,

I have torque pro installed on my phone and am using a bluetooth obd adaptor labelled Torque Pro Elm 327 ( Amazon purchase ).

Torque pro only displays rpm – no other data, additionally scanning for faults shows none ( despite me introducing a fault by dis-connecting the maf and egr ).

Any help / guidance / suggestions would be gratefully received.

Cheers all

For starters I would suggest running
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.applagapp.elm327identifier&hl=en_US

This neat app checks the API calls of various ELM revisions and you will see how compatible your adapter is.
The revision it claims to be (most commonly 1.5) doesn’t mean that much. Almost all ELMs on the market are Chinese clones.

Good luck – Martin

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Tested using the app you recommended ( neat app ) and everything came up green – all ok.

Further suggestions / help / guidance greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Assuming your vehicle is fully OBDII
compliant… You might try creating a
custom pid for 0100 to see which modules
respond. If there is another module which
reports more OBD sensors than the default,
you might be able to use ATSH… in the vehicle
profile custom init string to change the default.

Hi, so what brand scanner did you purchase that gave you all green, and what version did it reveal? Thanks.
