Does anyone have the PID’s for the low and high pressure switches for the a/c systems?

Saw a link somewhere that had info for for scangauge users – but cant find anything for Torque.

TIA!

Also odd:

Boost readings are decent until I really lay into it, and then they drop down into negative numbers..?!

After looking again, it appears I misspoke. What I saw were what ‘normal’ readings should be – but it didn’t give any information. It happened to be in a SGII thread, so I assumed the info was there – but it was not. Not a big deal for me at this point, because my a/c magically started working on its own again. Hah!

I am, however, trying to figure out an issue with ‘boost’ reading into negatives. Seems that the gauge functions fine until it hits 15-20PSI positive pressure, but then it pops back down to reading zero or even vacuum… ??? Once actual boost drops back down a little bit, it reads positive again.

Have seen various posts about it, but nobody has posted a fix.

What equation are you using for Boost?

Has it been adjusted for your location?

Quote from admin on June 23, 2011
Hi alhouko!

The boost calculation itself is correct, however there are 2 reasons why it may be giving you a different value than you expect, these are:

a) The vehicle profile information is not entered correctly, or you have the wrong vehicle profile selected. Engine Displacement and VE are important for boost to be calculated correctly on MAF based vehicles. If these aren’t entered correctly, the calculation will be out.

b) For MAP based vehicles, your MAP sensor could be adjusted for atmospheric pressure. In this case, you would need to use the boost adjust field in the profile to compensate for value given by the MAP sensor.

If you have those setup correctly, then you’ll get the right calculation (unless a sensor is faulty, which is unlikely). The type of OBD2 adapter used isn’t relevant to getting this correct or wrong.

Hope this helps!

Tried info listed above for ficm sync app says invalid formula. Does anyone have a different formula?

What formula did you try for
pid 2209CD?

There were two given. Which one to use
depends on the bit to examine. Bit 0 or
Bit 1.

Use variable A to see all eight bits.

I used this one.

Cam Vs Crank Sync
Header: 7E0
Mode/PID: 2209CD
{A:0} or {A:1} ?
Sync

So do I need to just type {A:0} I tried that and it said not enough characters
I would like the display to read 0 when not in sync and 1 when in sync.

To my knowledge that equation
should work in Torque Pro…

http://torque-bhp.com/forums/?wpforumaction=viewtopic&t=2807.0

I would create displays for both equations since
no one has confirmed which bit is correct. I believe
that {A:1} might be the correct bit but do not have
a 6.0L to test.

There is a ON/OFF display type for looking at values
greater than zero or zero.

I also successfully created a custom pid using that
equation without error.

I have an odd issue that I would like some help resolving. I have a 2003 Excursion 6.0 that has a stumble while idling with the Torque Pro app opened and connected to the b/t OBDII. The Excursion has an Edge Juice module installed by the previous owner. The idle will hold normally and after about 15 seconds the unit will drop then pick right back up with normal idle. It will do this continuously as long as Torque Pro is operational.

Thanks for your help and any advice.

Assuming that you have added the Ford
predefined pids… does your vehicle stumble
without the extra pids added?

Creating a new vehicle profile and setting
use separate dashboard layout will help
save your current setup if you want to
test this out.

That was with the Ford PIDs. Will try it without tomorrow.

Thanks!

Hey guys I have read the whole thread and I cannot find guidance for MPG instant and Average and how to get it to work.

I have set the 6.0 as engine size, Diesel as fuel but getting crazy readings in the MPG instant and average, gauge is maxed out once the truck starts moving.

Please help this is one of the main reasons I bought this APP and cannot get this to work.

IN my screen I have MPG(avg) MPG(instant) and Fuel Flow. Instant reads 255 at moving, AVG rises based on Instant and don’t get Fuel Flow rate. HELP !!!

Bump – really disappointed that no one has any answers or info. I would figure that this is one of the most needed features of TORQUE APP ??

Are you using the standard vacuum boost gauge
or the boost gauge from the Ford predefined pid
list?

Spring is right around the corner – so I’m digging into this again. :)

I do have a tuner, and I *THINK* it can read boost – may try to see what that shows this week to compare.
