Post Hyundai I30 CRDI engine cuts when logging data

I have a peculiar problem and it’s does it with other software.
When driving the car (Hyundai I30 CRDI)with anything including bluetooth plugged into the OBD2 diagnostic port the engine cuts out quiet violently. I tried Torque thinking it was my other software but still the same. Has anyone come by this problem before and if so is there a fix.

Look under adapter status icon functions
to see if any errors are showing.

Have you tried a different adapter yet?

I will have a look but if your talking fault codes no there arnt any. I have tried genuine Elmscan cable and Bluetooth as well as a Launch logger and it plays up the same with any interface but only when you drive the car. Stationary it displays all the data and runs perfectly. Got me bugged.

Sounds like a wiggle might be in order with
the DLC wiring if its vibration triggered to
see if you can recreate the problem?

I am starting to think there is a problem with the speed of the data from the ECU causing the cars ECU to crash momentarily. Feedback I have got from other forums is similar to my problem. It only happens when driving. Everything is as it should be stationary.
I only have the free version which won’t record speed for some reason but I can’t see anyway of turning off that data. Slowing the data rate did make an improvement but won’t eliminate the problem.

I solved the problem. It was to do with data transfer dwell time. I can only assume it’s the same as a buffer setting. I still can’t log with Torque. I did it with another program I have that allowed me to increase the time. It is not the data transfer baud rate just the dwell time setting. I now have to see if I can adjust this setting in Torque.
