Hi all,

Is it possible to have a rpm dial with numbers 0-10-20—70 x100 ?
I have been trying and searched the forum but did not succeed (yet). Only thing I can think of is doing it fixed in the png with Photoshop.

well the beta theme (old empire) in the torque app has rpm dials x100
if u dont like the theme u can still easily return to ur old theme but im sure the rpm will stay on x100 until you delete it

Hello, this is my first post here.

I am playing with the Torque last days and it is a great piece of software.

I decided to create my own theme and just realized, that there’s a lot of not-working features, i.e. globalHideTicks does not work for me.

But fiddling a bit with everything moves me to my goal. At last i have a problem: Is there a way how to hide the units in meter’s/readout’s displays? Or siply display just a number part of the PID information?
I can set the unit to empty string via properties.txt, but when the widget reads it’s data, the unit string is back. The “font scaling” does not work (but works great for label/value).

(my idea preview)

Thank you for your tips.

EDIT: Just got it! Transparent color for displayTextTitle did the trick.
displayTextTitleColour=#00FFFFFF

If anybody can get their hands on the software for all these new digital dashboards on multitudes of new cars, do you know how dope of themes those could make. If anybody has the brain to do it that would be so awesome. A Mercedes HUD would be DOPE.

Hey guys,
I was wondering whether someone had an orange BMW theme similar to dashboards in the E46, E38 and E39.

Hi!

I have a few themes to add, thanks for sharing it! – I’ll add it and all the others hopefully on Monday!

Edit: The VW theme (and a few others) will be in the 1.8.194 update hopefully!

Just a quick question:
How often are new themes added to the app? I’ve been seeing mostly the same ones, apart from Old Empire (which introduced the awesome custom needles).
This has been the situation for me for the past 3+ years of owning the app. Are other ones available for download elsewhere and I just don’t know it?

Thanks!

Hi!

I do have a backlog of some themes to work through to add – at the moment I’ve been mostly replacing servers over the xmas holidays (the theme server is one that’s been replaced with 3 seperate servers, as have the maps and logging servers (if you use the default logging servers and enable it in the app)

In the next Beta update, the theme servers will change, and the old ‘legacy’ theme server will stop receiving new themes for old versions of the app (as everyone gets free updates to the latest versions from Google Play) – the new theme servers will then get the latest themes once I start working through them. Once I’ve done this and finished testing the map server updates, I can then roll this out to the full version for everyone to use (hopefully a couple of weeks at the most, probably sooner)

Can someone PLEASE give us some pointers how to change entire
themes?
Which files should I search for? where are they?

Also, I have now made a few changes in colors and text in a theme I have download. How can I turn it in a new theme in order to transfer it in my other devices?

Thanks

Hi!

All the info should be in the wiki: https://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Themes

The theme itself is simply extracted to a folder in the hidden .torque folder on the device – simply copy the theme folder to the other device and it should start using it the next time Torque is restarted if you want to do it manually

Other theme apps on the play store simply copy their themes into the theme folder as well (and can send an intent to reload the theme as documented on the wiki)

Hi!
in the /themeDir I have only
1. backround.jpg
2. dial_backround.png
3. display_backround.png
4. properties.txt

For all available pids I need only the 2 and 3 pngs ?

If I am guessing right I will have to add them manually?
for examplea

globalDialStartAngle= – The global start and stop angles for all dials (see the image on the right)
globalDialStopAngle=

I can not find the above. So I have to add it and then change it?

——————————————————-

If I copy – paste the /themeDir folder to another device
I have problem with the resolution of the screen, so I have to resize, and rearrange all the pids. What option should I add, or change?

Thanks for the help
and Happy New Year!

If you cant find it then you have to add it to the properties.txt
