I feel like a buffoon but where are all these themes located? I see mention of a Themes server but I can’t find it.

Open Torque, goto Settings, then Themes
It’ll connect to the theme server and allow you to download.

Hello

I made a new theme for torque. Black gauges and a carbon background.

Download here http://www.ca-creation.com

Very nice theme, kudos for the design work and even bigger kudos for sharing it :)

Quick question, if you don’t mind.
Anyway to lay hands on the background used into sample screen?

Cheers

Seba

I just got a new Galaxy S4, and downloaded my paid version of Torque. I swapped my SD card from my previous phone, to this one, and my custom “GTO” theme is gone. I can view the “hidden folder” on my phone, and moved the custom theme .png files into the .themedir folder, but how do I choose them and apply my images? I can’t find a way to view everything on my PC when connected via USB.

Thanks for the help!

Hi

On the S4, the SD card is ‘external’ storage, and the .torque folder is kept on the internal large memory area. This is probably why it’s not seeing it (it’s simply in the wrong place)

Use something like the well regarded astro file manager app to hunt for the correct folder location on the s4 and then drop the files in there. You should then be up and running!

Having a slight issue here…

I see the “.Torque” folder, however, the only thing in that folder is a file called “torqueFreeDialLayout.dat”. There is nothing else in the folder.

Where do I get the necessary files to create or edit a theme???

Hi forum!

I’m driving a BMW 335i build in 03/11 and decided to make a theme for it.

If you guys like it, I can upload it. The Dials look exactly like the ones on my dashboard :-).

Are you going to make this available? It’s actually very very similar to my Volvo which I was planning to try to make some gauges for, but if you’ve already done it, or come close, that would save some time.

Thanks

Is the theme server still online? I see lots of people referring to it, but no actual link.

Thanks

I really like the Genesis one, very low-key, and still yet pretty. I kinda want to make one for my Saab 9-3 Arc, which is all green (I like the Sonar one, but I kinda want more simplistic, just green and black.

For some reason, my theme.zip file is corrupt. Does anyone have a copy of the original?

EDIT: Nevermind, I’m guessing the “testc.zip” from the wiki is the same thing.

DOWNLOAD LINK AT BOTTOM
So, I made my own theme to fit more with the Green Dash layout in my 2004 Saab 9-3 Arc. The pictures I took are with the more progressive line feel for the backgrounds of the dials, but I also included the full green lines. Also, I’ve included the two backgrounds (monochrome green hex-grid and square-grid) that I used for this (Original Green Grid via: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=&imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Ffootage.shutterstock.com%2Fclip-3287045-stock-footage-simple-green-grid-moving-in-the-background.html&h=0&w=0&sz=1&tbnid=NHoM-QywbgBbMM&tbnh=194&tbnw=259&zoom=1&docid=MI0IJ_DyHwPWWM&ei=WNFJUu3XCoW6yAGKzIDgCw&ved=0CAEQsCU and edited for size, hex was found online at: http://metatality.deviantart.com/art/Hex-Grid-Green-366833706).

My theme can be downloaded from: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1U6o0lPDCCWTjlVNjB2N3laTGc/edit?usp=sharing

I have the latest version of torque, but many of the themes in the thread are not listed on the theme server within the app. Is it due to my phone resolution? Its an old HTC desire

Good day everyone.

First a huge thanks to this forum for providing info on making custom themes. I’m not a programmer by any means so I basically just do a ton of reading and edit files that others have created as a template for myself.

I’ve started making a theme to make the gauges look like the gauges from GlowShift. I use their gauges in my own car so really wanted to match the Torque theme to those in my car.

Now, I’ve successfully made the theme and it looks great, but I’m having an issue with the size of the font. I’ve tried the globalFontScale. But still no luck. the font i used is the one that makes the characters look like they’re read from an LCD readout.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
