Exciting! New Themes on Theme Server!!!! Mine too is up on there. Please check all of them all out. There are some pretty cool submissions. So kudos to all those who put in the work and were kind enough to share with the rest of us. They are all looking pretty sweet.

The one i submitted is called Synchrotron. Check it out and please feel free to leave comments. Critisism and pointers are ABSOLUTELY welcome. If there is something you think I can improve upon with this theme, Let me know. I’m excited to not only take on the challenge but also to improve upon this submission.

I was thinking of doing some spin offs of this theme.

Synchrotron Red
Synchrotron Emerald
Synchrotron Purple
Synchrotron Pink
Synchrotron Fire

Please check it out and let me know how to make it more visually friendly so i can instill your ideas when creating these spin offs.

Thanks Again to Ian for creating such a phenomenally well executed and supported, functional App. Definitely well worth the price for the upgrade for pro. Please help support this app as it is among the very best for Android

Sorry if I step on anyone’s toes. New here but I watched the graphics system go through the Android Themes when the Smart Phones came out and it was found that you could build custom background themes for your phone. Catch is that you could share them also if there is no profit involved or if the theme is for yourself. So as an idea, possibly set up a “Theme” with a blank background that can be built/inserted by the user. Specify graphic size/format (JPEG etc.) and have it so that the User can add the background image to their Custom Theme. If someone has a background/image that they don’t know how to load I am sure that someone could give them a hand free gratis, which should not step on any copywrite toes. On the typical Android phone background Themes, they have tons of Pro Sports logos and Manufacturers logos displayed but they are all distributed for free which means there is no profit incentive to impose on the Logo Owners rights. MOST licensing does not impose on distribution of personal artwork as long as it is not for profit. Anyone who has a background in legal matters about registered Logos and copywrite information can speak up and comment about this but I think that it would solve the problems of people wanting Custom backgrounds.

Hi

You can already add backgrounds that you have to the screen – simply hit ‘change background image’ and select it from your gallery – this also includes downloaded backgrounds from other apps too (like various wallpaper apps – simply save the image you want to the SD card)

This is all accessible from the Settings->Themes menu in the app :)

Hi forum!

I’m driving a BMW 335i build in 03/11 and decided to make a theme for it.

If you guys like it, I can upload it. The Dials look exactly like the ones on my dashboard :-).

Ian? Is it possible to use my own theme for the needle? I want to use my own because the standard one doesn’t fit to my dashboards.

Thank you in advance 😉

I really liked the AEM idea. Very friendly for those that use their torque in different makes of cars.

I did the best I could to reproduce it…

My new theme!

That’s incredible! I just recently downloaded the application (and i’m abusing it accordingly) and I figured out how to skin it in basic terms. I had no idea what You did was even possible.
Could I get the source for that so I can personalize it for my Ford Explorer Sport?

This part is a general question:

I’m also having a couple difficulties in setting the dial properties.

I got the dial properties to work on the Tach quite well, starts at an accurate angle (25 degrees) for many Tachometers, and the endpoint of the tach is at 90 degrees. I like how that worked. I specified in the properties for all other dials to have similar stopping points (mostly at 35 degrees stop) but they don’t seem to have taken. I’m at work and can’t obtain my source file at the moment, but if you need to know how i have it scripted, I’ll be glad to obtain that later today.

I’m also looking to remove the digital readout for the dials and displays leaving only the needle, that way ONLY the ‘digital display’ option shows digital readouts.
(in the quoted example, where it says ‘no data’ would no longer be shown.)

I’m thinking I’d have to disable that by PID, but I don’t know how to disable that reading in the first place, as well as change the text in the Tachomter that indicates ‘x1000’ so I could change it to x100 or x10 depending on what I want the tach to actually read

There’s a Volvo one here, from the 240R that looks kinda fun.

Some crazy stuff too, check out the Vector W8:

Does anyone have a Purple/UV theme?

I’m trying to make one but not having photoshop it’s making this rather hard to accomplish.

Working on my SAAB 9-3 Theme. I wish the theme engine were a bit more extensible (I put some suggestions in the “Features Request” or whatever section).

What programs do you use to make the gauges? I’m looking to get into making a matching one for my 2011 STi. There is a close amber/white one, but I’d like to be more detailed on the surround.
