Little bit about myself the things I could say that that I am very very real and honest don’t have much money to work with but I try to do the right things in life and I’m tired of getting cheated out from all these mechanics around me so I’m trying to help myself and learn how to use this OBDll sensor. So I can get the full potential out of it and I appreciate it if anybody can help me and guide me through it can’t read too well but I’m trying thank you for your time God bless you

My torque pro says its denied from turning on blue tooth. What now?

Hi all,

I’m using a Pixel with the beta for Android Q, would like to enroll for your beta testing of this app for said release of Android.

At the moment, the app crashes as soon as it starts running.

I had same issue with android 10 beta. Uninstall, reboot phone and install again from Play Store.

The crash issue should be fixed in the next beta which hopefully I will get to release late next week (I need to finish a new map/trip screen then we should be good to go) – there’s a few things in Android O+ that have been causing a delay due to the changes required and have been putting off for some time

I am using Pixel 3 XL with Android Q beta 5, TorqueBHP would not connect to bluetooth (Kiwi3 adapter).

Would like to know if it is possible for me to test out the beta version ??

update 19 Jul 2019 :
Managed to get the Torque 1.8.205 to connect to my Kiwi3 by reinstalling the app with Android Q beta 5. It takes longer than usual to connect but it still working.

I bought 2 years ago a USB adapter and it does not connect
One could release separately as soon as possible an update for USB drivers only
two years already waiting !!!

I’m using a ScanTool OBDLink SX now. Works perfect with Android 9

Btw: The theme loading issue is still present. When Starting the app my custom dials won’t load until redraw (recent apps -> back to torque)
It only affects the PIDs with a length of 8.

Over the years, I can recall numerous times when I encountered a Check Engine light on my dashboard instrument display and I would either ignore it until something went wrong and I had to get my car to my mechanic, or until I would go for NYS Vehicle Inspection and be told that I had to have the issue resolved in order to pass the inspection test. In some cases, the issue causing the Check Engine light can be simple and in other cases way more complicated. Regardless of the cause, it would be nice to have some idea of the details of the issue prior to visiting the mechanic. Not to say that all mechanics are dishonest, but in many cases, we become the victim of a “lack of knowledge” robbery and lose everything in our wallet :-).

The VXDAS NT510 Professional OBD2 Scanner seems advanced enough for the professional mechanic to start to investigate the issue and useful and informative enough for the less knowledgeable to walk into the mechanic shop and at least sound like – “Hey!! I have some knowledge about what’s wrong with my car”!!

Hello,

First time posting..

Wanted to drop in and just say thank you piemmm for developing an interface to understand what is going on with our complicated vehicles. I first bought a OBD2 bluetooth device for my BMW x5 year 2000 and it didn’t help much with the issue it was having but at no fault of the software. I decided that I have no need for overly complicated vehicles and purchased a ford ranger ~2years ago 1999 manual.

I remembered I had this scanner and pro torque app so… plugged it in and checked the forums. Happy to see that I can check the smog readiness as it is due for smog + registration and not ready from recent work. Saved me ~40$ already in a wasted failed smog check and also is assisting in more complex diagnosis of subtle yet seemingly serious issues.

I thought this app was dead from some more recent post I stumbled upon relating to relevant issues. What? I don’t recall. Possibly ford related or other relevant searches. Either way I was happy once creating an account to see you are still creating updates and beta testing versions. I am newish here (100% new with a profile) and if you have any development tips for me to assist please shoot me an email so I can assist with the popular ford ranger if at all possible. It is a commonly used vehicle for people who want to DIY it seems and it also benefits me to figure things out on it. I am just not exactly sure what is going on with this OBD2 world and am shocked at how little documentation (aside from this form and little other resources) exist for such a commonly used protocol.

And again, Thank you for your work in assisting us diagnose and read our vehicles better and easier.

I didn’t see TorqueScan mentioned in the changelog. I hope that in the next version the TorqueScan results can be saved or sent via email.
