Trying to figure out how to do audible alarms, it looks from the configuration screens like I should be able to do this but so far no sound. I’d prefer just a beeping noise over a spoken alarm. I want to use Torque and an old Tablet as a quick gauge in a rally car and warn on things like over coolant, under voltage, etc.

I’ve put a gauge on the screen and went into the guage specific configuration and set an Alert Maximum. The gauge flashes which is good, but no sound. Am I missing something? (Yes, the volume on my device was turned up to max)

Me too :) (wants this feature)
Also, I couldn’t find a way to change the alert temperature min/max thresholds from the preset values (Torque lite).

Hi!

You should be able to do this already – you will need to look at the app settings. There are 2 types of alarms in Torque – a ‘warning’ display style alarm (which is the flashing display which is only checked when the display is visible) and the main alarm segment (described below) which is checked all the time.

In the settings screen, scroll to the bottom, where it says ‘Manage Alarms’ – go into this screen and you can create an alarm and set what you want it to do (overheating, etc)

The alarm should be nice and loud when triggered

Settings->Manage Alarms, then just add and configure the sensor you want to monitor, speed (GPS) should always be available, coolant depends on if the car sends it (it should).

Hi!

Alarms are only in the pro version, not lite

Ah, I see. I’ve had pro for quite a while, so I’ve forgotten what was in that version ?
