Is there any update on this?
I was looking to buy a BT interface for when my android arrives and was going to buy the application but I’m not sure its going to work!

We’re all still waiting. It seems to be hit-or-miss when it comes to VW/Audi cars.

What sensors are working for you?
My main concern would be coolant and oil temprature.
Dont want to ruin my block or turbo!

The boost is the sensor that seems to be touch and go. It will read some fine, and it wont read others at all. I haven’t had any issues with other sensors not reading, though.

Afternoon All
Just to let you know that I got my Cheap Ebay OBD2 dongle from Santa this morning (Well technically yesterday morning now)

And I plugged it into the car, used my fathers HTC Desire and everything worked tip top… apart from the Boost which is one of my most crucial parts as I’m having the car remapped and would love to be able to track boost logs.

Is there any thing I can do to help this situation, Using VAGCOM to view and clear faults is a BIG tool used in the VW community combined with the rest of your exceptional software and possible ability to log boost could be a BIG money earner for you

*Maybe you should consider keeping your pricing but move some features like boost to a paid only section of the application*

People spend £30-40 on boost gauges/oil/voltage
If all we need is a bluetooth dongle, This application to view the above three your going to be rolling in it!

Please fix this ASAP. (

The reason VAG cars aren’t registering boost is the software is something to do with having a sensor that doesn’t give direct digital readouts of boost. Perhaps the VAG COM does because it can read the more complex parts of the computer that are not available through your basic OBD2 interface. So unless he writes a formula to estimate boost, than our cars will never be supported. Don’t blame the software either, blame VW. It’s how they built their cars.

Not true. If it were, ALL vw/audi’s would be affected. They are not… only some of them are.

Liquid guages can read boost and they plug into an OBD2 port so it will just be the way the software interprets this sensor differently on some ecu’s I’d imagine?

I use the Liquid Gauge and it shows boost fine.

Any updates on the VAG boost readings? Just got the dongle and wanted to read boost on my TT, don’t want to purchase full version if I don’t have all functionality….

I’d say its worth buying just for its fault reading and clearing abilities! However boost isn’t working for ALL VAG’s at the moment.

Works on some but not others, Doesn’t work on my LCR which I’m pretty sure has the same Engine/ECU setup as your TT.

I get boost data on Torque with my 98 Jetta TDI, but not on my 2004 Audi A4 1.8T, just FYI

I’ve tried emailing the dev a few times asking about this problem and offering to help him in any way I can… He is completely unresponsive. :(

That stinks, from what I read at the beginning of the thread it sounded like he was working on it, but no updates since. Ill probably buy it for the other features anyhow.

I asume boost does not work on petrol engines.
I have a VAG diesel engine and boost works fine, the only problem is it only shows 1,5 bar while I do 3 bar in my diesel.

But why do you al not use manifold absolute pressure or is that not working as well? Maybe there is a trick to convert PSI readings from MAP into bar’s.
