Country
Singapore

Make/Model
Subaru R2 AWD

Year
2007

Interface
ELM327 from eBay (amishop) USD17.51 / Samsung Galaxy Ace Android 2.2

Known Issues
~ELM327 works fine.
~App’s ‘Adaptor Status Info’ shows OK connection to adapter, ECU ; has 0 error count.
~No PID data was received. I guess Torque doesn’t work on the R2. But Map View has journey logged. I will be keen to try again on my next vehicle.

Known issues? For transmission temps, you must:

  • load the custom GM PIDs
  • edit the “Transmission Fluid Temp” (221940) PID
  • scroll to the bottom and change the “AUTO” to “7E2” (no quotes)

Personally, I do believe that others with GM products that are not seeing their transmission temps might have a go and see if they start seeing the temps as well.

Tracking horsepower seems off, and I can’t get fuel level readings at all. Other than that, everything is working swimmingly.

So far, none now that I’ve been through configuring it. It really just needs to know your actual vehicle information.

Transmission temp appears to be working with method 3.
Fuel level does not seem to be supported with my vehicle.

Known issues?

Using XiTech Elm327 w/Bluetooth connectivity. Connecting to OBD connector IMMEDIATELY freaks the Jag’s computer out. The DIC starts spitting every fault possible, and the car refuses to start. Removing the ELM327 stops the faults, except now my Check Engine Light remains lit.

The ELM327 and Torque on a Samsung Galaxy TAB 10.1 works great in my wife’s 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe.

2003 Infiniti FX 45 USA
ScanTools adapter.

Seems to be working well. Didn’t find additional PIDs, but the communication to the ECU seems fine.

Just surviving, trying to avoid speeding tickets.

Try the Shift Lights for amazing Torque!

Issues:
Cyanogen OS on HTC Hero runs the CPU hot and it sometimes reboots while running Torque. Probably Cyanogen’s CPU overclocking. Otherwise, the app works great.

So, after the cheap scanner blew the Jag’s mind, I bought aKiwi BT scanner and everything is fine. I was even able to reset all the freaky codes the other scanner caused. So, Kiwi scanner to the rescue!

Hi ho,

Any chance of making this a “sticky” post so that people will be able to see it on the top of the list?

…just an idea…
