Post Cannot connect to ECU

I have a 1996 Chevy silverado truck. I used the OBDII Diagnostic Interface from BAFX Products several years ago and it worked fine using an early version of Torque. Now with the latest version of the app (even with the previous version) it cannot connect to the ECU. How can I get over this software bug?
