Post Retain sensor data between app restarts

I must retain the values from the virtual sensor I created with a script between app restarts. I did notice the “Store value in vehicle profile” option in the OBD2 PID Editor, but can’t figure out how to make that work. Also, is there an option to specify this in the script?
