Post Scripting Bug
on: March 5, 2022 (GMT)

Hi

I’ve Torque Pro for Android (last one) and have some issues.
I created a script attached to a button, edited the script inside the app, the script has created some virtual Sensors, and I created displays for those sensors. Everything goes ok.
But, when I exit the app, and open again, the button has lost the script (a new empty skeleton is displayed), and no script can be found on “Script Manager”. Created sensors and displays are still there.
Tried to create a script from script manager, but the button does not display it, except by export/import to file. Again, exiting and reopening the app causes script loss at button and an empty skeleton to display.
In the current situation, I can’t modify the script created virtual sensors behaviour, nor remove them.

Moto G9 Plus
Android 11
OBDLink LX

Thank you

Hi!

I’ll try to reproduce that today and see what’s up!

The Script Manager does not handle button scripts – it handles the core scripts only, which are different(you will see that the methods are different and the button methods are not present). They are not inter-operable with button scripts

Edit: Found an issue with the button editor where the button might not refresh after a script was edited – this has been fixed in the latest beta (just waiting for google to approve 1.12.98 in beta)

Hi

I’ll clear app data and test the beta. I understand now the difference,
will split the code between core and button, and let you know.

Thanks
