Have you tried 01B4?

Test while in pid editor when
connected to vehicle to see
raw hex response.

A-40 °C

A*(9/5)-40 °F

Hi!

or just use the A-40 and Deg.C as the units as the app will auto-convert to F (if you select F in the settings)

This keeps the equations nice and simple :)

Is there anyway you could tell me the whole thing to put in?

Its asking for long name and short name and scale factor, and min max value

Also, guys thanks for help. I am also looking for ANY transmission temperature, if they have one for the pan or just the transmission itself. Anything transmission temp related. THANKS

Goto settings>manage extra pids/sensors

menu>add pid

Start by entering the pid given and
testing its hex response. Looking for

41B4…. for a successful response.

For example…

Long Name: Camry Transmission Fluid Temperature?
Short Name: TFT
Mode/Pid: 01B4
Header: Auto
Units: °C
Scale: 1
Equation: A-40
Min: 0.0
Max: 100.0
Start/Stop Diagnostic: leave blank

Post raw hex response. That’s what we
are trying to see first.

Ok, I put in the pid above. The 01b4, and it said no data, or no response something like that when I hit test. I also tried with the same settings but the equation was the A*(9/5)-40 one that you put earlier and it said the same thing.

I wonder if there is some way of even finding out if it has any transmission sensors. I know the manual for the 2.2 ltr says to get to operating temperature 70 to 80C. So there must at least be one in the 2.2 ltr one. Mine is the v6

You might try searching a Toyota
specific forum. Maybe someone
has figured out the TFT for your
model and year.
