Post Extended PIDs not appearing on Android 11
on: December 6, 2021 (GMT)

Hi y’all,

I’ve been trying to install the extended PIDs for the Kia Niro EV on Torque Pro following these instructions: https://www.insideevsforum.com/community/index.php?threads/app-for-battery-temp-and-battery-voltage.10059/

Unfortunately, when I get to adding the PIDs, I can see them to import individually as CSV files from “.torque/extendedpids/…..”, but they don’t appear in the “Add Predefined Set” list.

I’m still waiting for my BT Dongle to arrive but wanted to check if I’m losing anything by installing the PIDs that way? And if anyone has any suggestions for why it’s not working, that’d be great.

It’s Android 11 running on a OnePlus 6 and the current version of TorquePro from the google play store.

TIA for help!

Hi

Yes – due to googles new scoped storage requirements this had to change. you will now need to use the ‘import’ menu option in the manage extended PIDs screen to import the PIDs from your storage
