Post Single pid stopped working after months of working fine
on: July 1, 2021 (GMT)

I am currently running Torque Pro in my 2019 Kia Niro EV, using pids from jejusoul on GitHub. They were working just fine for over a year. Now, my SOC_Display pid is displaying -0.5% after initially displaying the correct SOC for about 1-2 sec. I am running numerous other pids, all of which have been functioning just fine since the beginning. I have removed and re-installed that pid, plus another that is named differently but the same.

Any ideas on what happened? Did this particular pid get corrupted somehow?

TIA

Have you tested the raw hex response to
see if data looks normal?

Have you tested using a different adapter?

1. No. Not sure how to do that.
2. No, have just one OBD dongle, but all the other pids work fine, which leads me to believe it’s OK

If it is a custom pid, use the pid editor to
edit/test for the raw hex response.

You should be able to figure out the
vehicles response for the pid in question
if the response is normal.

I have read on previous threads where
some pids work and others don’t on some
faulty adapters.

Since this pid used to work I suspect a
failing adapter or a corrupt field in the
pid definition.
