Running Torque Pro on a 1996 Ford F250 7.3L Powerstroke diesel. I want to view the MPG, but nothing ever shows, just 0. Do I need to add any special PID’s? Can someone let me know how to make this feature work with my truck, or if it even can work with my truck?
Thanks

Your vehicle is most likely not
fully OBDII compliant which uses
mode 01xx pids that Torque is
trying to use.

You might check if there is a mode 2200xx
pid equivalent that you could create and test.

I remember there was an issue with unrecognized
commands for the early 7.3’s so definitely test
with KOEO.

tot(3600:[0d])/tot(3600:[5e])

22000D

22005E

Thanks for the information. I don’t know what it means, but I’ll Google it. I’m pretty tech savvy, but just ignorant to this particular product and process. Is there a specific place I could find the details, or is it easily researchable?

Thanks in advance.

Create a custom pid for 22000D.

Header: Auto
Mode/Pid: 22000D

In the pid editor, while connected
KOEO, press the Test button to see
and record the raw hex response
from the vehicle.

A sucessful response will include
62000D in the returned string.

Repeat using 22005E.

Thanks again. I’m afraid this is still way over my head. I don’t know how to “code”.
