Post Mx+ causing battery drains
on: November 26, 2020 (GMT)

I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the EcoDiesel engine.

I have a permanently mounted phone running Torque Pro and use an MX+ ODB adapter.

I want to keep the MX+ plugged in and Torque running on the phone, so it’s always there and ready to go.

My issue is when you shut the Jeep off, torque keeps trying to connect to the ECU. Every time it tries to connect, the Jeep senses it and sends power to the accessories, the dash lights up, etc (push button start). After 15-20 seconds, it all goes back to sleep, but then Torque makes another attempt at talking to the ECU and the cycle repeats itself.

Overnight all this cycling is enough to kill the battery on the Jeep.

I have tried turning on the Let device sleep setting and it didn’t help. Is there something else I can set to keep Torque and/or the MX+ from triggering the Jeep into its passive entry cycle and powering not the dash etc?
