can someone (or maybe Ian) help here…

I’m looking to do the following , and wondering if it can be done with Torque.

I want to use my Android Head Unit with its own 4g data connection in my car to constantly log its GPS coordinates to “somewhere” so that I can monitor where it is, where I have been, and if god forbid, it gets stolen, I can work out where it is located (or at least, where it was last).

I’ve looked into the logging aspect and set up the webserver but I can’t seem to get it to work. Before I try to spend ages trying to troubleshoot exactly what is going on with it, can someone tell me if i am barking up the wrong tree or is there mileage in me pursuing doing it this way? there doesn’t seem to be an awful lot of gps tracking apps, especially ones that run in the background and don’t need to be ‘turned on’.
