I’m using Samsung Note 8 so the smartphone stays on the windshield holder and the HDMI output with Samsung Dex is mirrored on my original car screen.

I can display two apps at the same time: Torque on smartphone screen and a GPS software on the original car screen.

The problem is that if Torque loses focus it won’t update the gauges. That also happens with Sygic GPS, so I can’t have both apps updating simultaneously.

I tried Navitel and it updates on second plane. By my research, some apps can and some not. That should be an expected default behaviour, since Android usually don’t show two apps at the same time.

With recent features like Dex and Split Screen becoming more common, it would be very nice if Torque could update the gauges even when not in focus.
