Post Duamax LMM balance rate - help with PID and math
on: June 4, 2020 (GMT)

I feel like I’m close to getting the Injector Balance Rates figured out for my 2010 Chevrolet 2500HD Duramax (LMM)…

I’ve got a BAFX Wifi ODB2 adapter for the vehicle.
Connects and works well, connection setup is like so:

Protocol: ISO 15765-4 CAN (11bit 500k baud)
ELM327 customer config string: atz

I tried using the canned PIDs for GM balance rates and they all return one value. I discovered through a bunch of research that the PID for (example) cyl 1 balance rate TXD = 07E02CFE1AEA

So I have a custom PID setup like so in Torque Pro:

    ODB2 Mode/PID: 2CFE1AEA
    Min Val: 0.0
    Max Val: 100.0
    Scale: x1
    Unit Type: mm3
Equation: (((A*256)+B)*(5/32)-5118)/10 (note: this is based on the RXF: D2E883FE0000, RXD: 1810, MTH: 00050020EC00 for this sensor).
    Header: Auto

What’s happening is I’m getting readings like “424.1844” which isn’t close to a real reading.
