Post Bug in Map View

When viewing a track in Map View, the track is shown offset to where it should be. The track line is draw to the southeast of its correct position.

The fun thing is that when I select the track to view, the map zooms in the correct position (in the map). I have to zoom out to see the track line.

Getting the CSV file and importing in https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/ Show the track in the correct position.

Incorrect position in Torque App:

Where it should be:

Also, selecting the menu arrow and “clicking” the menu item “Send trip file…” does nothing.

Hi!

What version are you using (from adapter status, scroll to the bottom) – I’ll try to reproduce it here (the map view was re-written when google changed the map api so it’s possible a bug crept in).

Also what device are you using? (android version too please as that will help me in trying to reproduce why it’s not in the right place on your device)

Hello.

Same issue here. Track data is placed incorrectly on the map on a south-east location.

My application version is 1.10.114, running on a Xiaomi Pocophone F1 with Android 10 build QKQ1.190828002. Also tested on a Huawei MediaPad T5 running Android 8 build AGS2-W09 8.0.0.255 (OCEC432) and encountered the same issue. If you need any more info or any log files to be sent, let me know and I will try my best to help.

Same here. It was reported last year by someone. It happens on the high dpi devices, some scaling issue.

Sorry for the late reply.

Application Version: 1.10.120
I’m using a stock Xiaomi MI A1, Android version is 9 with Android Security Update from August 1, 2020.
My Google Maps version is 10.52.2 (if that matters).

Hi, I have the same problem. Previously on my old samsung galaxy tab 7″ from 2014 the map and route were shown approx. Now I noticed that this is not the case. There’s a big shift. I changed the android version from 4 to 5 and still the same. I bought a Huawei M5 8″ tablet and it’s shifting too. I think it’s a problem with the application. Has anyone found a solution?

Hi, just wondering if there is any progress on this issue?
There was another thread where it was discussed in more detail, but I can’t find it right now.

Thanks

Hi again

I just found a solution to this problem: I had been using my phone with display settings set to “small” under display size, when I changed it to “default” the map offset is gone.

I prefer using the “small” display setting, perhaps this can be accommodated @piemmm?

Additionally: now that my display settings are on size “default” all of my small gauges are displayed enlarged and overlap each other. The next size down (tiny) is too small…

I can confirm this. After changing the display size to default the track line on torque was drawn aligned with the satellite view of the roads I was driving.
