Post 0-60 mph timer accuracy

How does Torque Pro calculate 0-60mph time since the OBD2 port only provides integer values of km/h?

IOW 60mph is 96.5606 kph and this is not an integer value.

Does Torque Pro use the closest km/h speed such as 96 or 97km/h, or does it mathematically calculate something in between?

just look in the old post i saw a similare question not long ago

From what i remember the value is always received in km/h precise to 1 km/h

so you lose precision transfering into miles per hour

and don’t forget as soon as your will spin …your value are offset

so use them with a grain of salt

That’s my question – what does Torque Pro use for 60mph. Does it use 96kph, 97kph, or calculate something in between?

I have a rear wheel drive car but the speed sensing is taken from the front wheels. IOW wheel spin would have no effect.

oh yeah i forgot that these days , speed is mostly read thru abs system

not thru the tranny output like in the old days

i wonder if you could log the time variable
you would see it in the log where the shift occur
