Hello.
I am in need of some assistance with INIT string for a engine and ECU from a JDM 2001 ~ 2002 Toyota Crown Majesta (V8 1UZ VVTi).
I currently have the Torque app and ECU communicating via a INIT string I found on a MR2 Forum several months ago:
ATIB 96 \n ATIIA 13 \n ATSH8213F0 \n ATSP4 \n 0100
Since then I have found a bunch of other INIT strings for various Toyota vehicles(listed at bottom).
I have noticed a delay in the RPM reading in the Torque app and I was wondering if the INIT string I am using is not exactly correct for my ECU… The closest vehicle matching the Crown Majesta is probably the Toyota Mark 2 / Aristo…
I was wondering if anyone knows how to read these codes…
For example the MR2 INIT string ends with \n 0100 while the Mark 2 ends with nATSW00… and what is the difference between nATAL, nATE0 and nATSP4?
Also, is there away to limit the data torque reads from the ECU to help it process data? I do not need data from the MAF, MAP, IAT, O2, etc… Would it make a difference if these sensors were ignored by the app?
Thank you and hope the below INIT strings might come in handy for someone in the future.
Adam
