The DPF temperature sensor is not available to my ELM327 (Jaguar 2014 facelift version, 2.2 Sportbrake),but an earlier post mentioned that the MAP sensor could provide an indication of when an active regen was taking place – the air pressure would drop. Mine shows a fairly constant 98-100kPa – will this drop when a regen is occurring? I’d like to alarm it – would a low alarm setting of say 90kPa work for me?.

Thanks cintak, I’m new here and finding my way around. When I open the OBD2 PID Editor, I am unsure of how to fill in the blanks – Long name, Short name, min and Max values, scale factor, unit type, Equation, etc.
I’d appreciate some guidance thanks.

it doesn’t matter, for example, and make the PID Test

Hi cintakc, I got 0.0 results for 220417 and 220434, but for 22042c I got “result for equation 60.0 response 7E80562042C3CE6”
But then when I selected Test Results on the main menu, I got message “ECU does not appear to support mode ”
Not sure if this is a dead end for me now, but thanks for your input.

Many thanks cintakc, I’ve now got a “Soot DPF” reading. It is 23.8. I presume I can take this as a % full, so will keep an eye on it and perhaps set an alarm level at 40 so I can give things a blast.
You’ve been a great help even although I can’t quite follow where the figures come from!!

it is necessary to control the readings for several days, whether they will change

OK, I included some vehicle details on my opening post, but here are some more which might help: November 2014 Jaguar XF Sportbrake, LHD, Engine 2179cc, 200hp version. VIN SAJAA0261FDU54439, French registration EH 413 SG, anything else please let me know.

I tried the 2 latest PIDs but they both gave 0 response when I put them into the “test” mode. The one which does work (22042c), I am monitoring. My “Soot DPF” reading dropped to 7.0 after around 30km average speed driving (no more than 90kph) and I can see that when I am idling or travelling slowly in town, the level increases slightly whereas on the open road where the revs are around 1500, it decreases. I will continue to monitor it, Is this figure grammes of soot or a % of DPF soot level?

To find out more accurate data for your engine ECU, I will need answers to several requests, only it is better to do this in the terminal program, for example Elm327Chat
in a terminal you can do a poll PIDs list
I will prepare a file with commands for the terminal and lay out a link

Sending a list of commands from a file (by default, Elm327Chat/CMDs/commands.txt)
Saves the session log in the Elm327Chat folder on the main device map
Place the file with the JaguarXF_commands.txt commands in the folder Elm327Chat/CMDs/

Hello :)

I have been following this I have Jaguar XF 2008 2.7d I’m not having any joy with the PID for viewing DPF soot level, do you have any idea perhaps what might work for me ?
