Post Adapter error count Help

I have been having some trouble with my torque pro app and obd reader. I get everything connected and the live information is showing correctly in the app, and then all of the sudden it freezes. When I open the adapter status screen, the adapter error count is highlighted yellow with the text “this should say 0, if not then you potentially have a faulty adapter” Under it, it always says “0 errors, xx other faults.” It eventually resets and goes through all this again.
any suggestions?

OBD reader: Eonon V0056 Bluetooth ELM327 OBD-II
