Post Track recorder not recording on Samsung S8
on: February 4, 2019 (GMT)

Hi all
I have looked and searched through the forum.
I understand that it cannot be used in full screen mode.

My problem
When I click the circle button, it goes from “not recording” to “starting”, but then it goes back to “not recording” after a couple second.

I have played around with storage location, video quality, etc but still cannot get it to record.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

try this
go to settings – permissions for applications – “Memory” for the Torque application and remove and re-set the Memory permission

I have the exact same problem for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 running stock Oreo. I tried to remove the permissions, restart, then add back the permissions but no dice. I will try uninstalled the Torque Apps next and see what happens.

UPDATE: Uninstalled apps. Restarted. Re-installed apps. No dice. Not sure what the next step is. One possible clue is that some torque data is retained and re-acquired on the SD from the old Note 4 Marshmallow Torque app. Will try deleting the torque data on the SD card, uninstall, wipe cache, etc.
