Trying this a 3rd time.. my two previous posts are not showing. Maybe the link is messing it up. In any case, here goes again.
I just got my ODBII adapter the other day, and am new to using Torque (Lite version for now). The adapter is a “TrekPow Bluetooth 4.0 OBD 2 Scan Tool Diagnostic Scanne” that I got from Amazon – link omitted as I believe it was causing issues with my post.
No problem pairing it with my Samsung S8 and getting Torque running and so far, it works good on my 2016 Mercedes E250.
I did notice initially (when cold) that I was not getting any Engine Coolant temp data. Then I made a stop and and after restarting when warm, I was getting coolant temp data. After, I was back home, I checked again an hour or so after pulling in the garage, and I was still getting a temp reading of around 25 deg C.. and I just had to turn the ignition on again to get it, w/o starting the engine. I checked again this morning now that the engine has completely cooled and am again getting no data. Is there some low temp limit with this that is such that no data is available, until the coolant temp reaches a certain level? I was really hoping to be able to monitor the engine warm up progress using this parameter. Thanks.
Also, Do I need to do any additional setup to get additional parameters.. oil temp, transmission oil temp would be nice too.
