Hello Ian
You can somehow fix the error with widgets in the next update.
After a short stop (10-30 min.) they "freeze and do not work.
After a long pause everything is OK.
It is necessary that Torque after Off stops the service (work) of widgets.
Torque - 1.12.79, widget - 2.2.6
Thank you
Hi!
I'll look at that - it's possible that android is shutting down the background service after X minutes (which obviously causes the widgets to stop updating)
Hello Ian
I saw the reason for the freezing of widgets.
You can even watch it on your smartphone.
After completion of Torque and its launch in 1-30 min. on the widgets, the readings that were before the release from Torque remain - then the widgets do not work.
After starting Torque after 30-40 minutes. gaps ("-") on the widgets, then the widgets work fine.
Suggestion: You can make Torque stop the widget service when it terminates.
Or on startup - Torque would stop the widgets and start them again.
Or at least do it through intents, starting and stopping the widget service.
Thanks in advance.
That would be one very necessary functionality. Stop widgets by an intent or other means but not with the on screen toggle.
I have a dash setup and tablet can't go into full sleep, whenever tasker is gracefully ending torque, widgets restart torque in a matter of a few seconds. Can't figure out to stop widgets when tablet goes into suspension. I can't simulate touch by tasker in the toggle as won't work with the screen off.
Please implement it. Or maybe there is a way for tasker to stop widget service by any way?

I would be very grateful if you give "intents" for starting and stopping widgets
