I am going to permanently install an old phone to my dash for Torque.
It will be connected to a charger on a switched circuit, so it will only charge with the ignition on. I'd like it to wake up with power applied and go to sleep when the charger switches off.
I know there a bunch of you that have done this. I'm not looking to have the phone as a media player or anything else besides running torque.

You will need to install an automation app like tasker or automate to control the phone settings. It's advised to root the device so you can control lock screens etc.
