I love Torque! Very very cool. I use a Droid and drive a 2004 BMW 530. My MPG does not receive data... any idea why?
Is there a way to read out the VIN? I looked on Wikipedia and saw that this is part of the standard PIDs. I am not sure how the values provided in wikipedia translate to the values asked for in Torque to set up a new PID.
Hi
Torque currently reads the VIN so it can attenpt to give the correct fault code for any manufacturer specific faults. I will see if I can provide that somewhere in torque in a later version so it can be accessed.
Not many ECUs implement the VIN PID.

Ian, Can you please contact me about redesigning some software for my company. My email is joesim@turbolaboratories.com. It will be a modified Torque application
Ian,
Same thing for me. I would like to engage you for a corporate project. Please contact me at vanderkroft@gmail.com. Thanks!
Hi,
Sorry, I'm not ignoring your posts don't worry, but I am in the middle of getting Torque to the point where I am happy with it - no doubt you have seen the threads where a few people with broken/bugged handset firmwares are having issues.
I want to get these people fixed with workarounds or at least going the best they can before I think about much else.
There are also a few (rather good) features in Torque that need to be finished as well.
Fortunately I will now have access to the HTC desire (one of the problem handsets) sometime late next week so I will hopefully be able to put those problems aside then I can fully concentrate on yourselves rather than an odd 10 minutes here and there.
Thankyou for your patience,
Ian
