Hi,
Installed Torque Pro on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 running Android 4.0;
Connected to Tactrix OBDII (Open Port 2.0)connector.(For use with Audi A4 Quattro).
The problem is that Torque Pro does not recognize the use connection. Don't have a Wifi or Bluetooth OBD connector so trying to use the usb connection.
Appreciate any pointers. (have upgraded the Galaxy OS).
thanks
BJ

Hi!

You need an FTDI based USB ELM327 compatible device - the tactrix is simply a 'dumb' cable which has no onboard processor (iirc), and doesn't support ELM327 commands

I can use my Tactrix with BtSsm on my Samsung phone and it is really fast. It just doesn't have the configurability that Torque has. And is limited on what parameters you can see.

Would much prefer Torque and Tactrix combo.

Using my OBDLink MX+ is super slow in Torque, since the MX+ doesnt support SSM.

I tried to order an OBDKey, but got refunded.

^3rd post down gas a PDF titled ssm-2.pdf that covers what seams to be everything that would be needed to add SSM-2 to Torque.

I have a 2005 STi, it doesn't have CAN BUS so SSM is my best option.

Is there any hope of being able to use a Tactrix with Torque?
