Hello
I've spend some time putting the required code in to quickly allow torque to be translated into other languages (French, German, Russian, etc)
There are instructions on the wiki page located at: http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Translation together with the most recent downloadable file that can be translated
This should help with translating the app if you want to lend a hand. Try a couple of small obvious ones first to make sure it works, and if you are enthusiastic enough to complete a translation, then I can include it in the app so it will be automatically included in future updates

I translated Torque into german. A few points are still missing but the most is done.

Added, thanks, though the characters looked a little wrong on the accents - I may look at that
Anything that you notice wasn't translated in any of the language files will be dropped into a language_-missing.txt file inside the .torque folder on the SD card as they are found by the app I'll add them as you post them on here or (preferably) email the file as an attachement to ian@prowl.org so nothing gets lost

I mailed you a new version with more translations and hoepfully fixed accents (although I don't know why the UTF-8 file before doesn't work).
When/how does Torque load the language files?
I deleted the old language file (and the missing.txt, which btw. seems to contain every translation), moved the new one into the folder, restartet the phone but nothing changed.

Hi thanks, got the new translations, they'll be in the next version released The UTF-8 version got mangled,.. I think. didn't display in the editors I used here correctly. Hopefully the native character set one will be better.
The missing.txt is an output-only file - the language translation is read internally on the current version only.
I understand you'll want to test - I'll try to sort that out in the next update and allow you to override the internal translation file with one in .torque folder again. Will post details when it's done!

Got it, it's in 1.4.62
In 1.4.62 you can now create a file 'language_es_override.txt' and torque will override (and merge) its' internal translation file with the one you have on the SD card - this should help you test things
If there's any missing translations, then they should be dropped into a 'language_es_missing.txt' file on the SD card in the same location

Hello.
I do a Russian translation - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9S997ZEE .but I can not bridge the adapter with my Subaru Legacy '03. Can't string any of ECU. Once managed to probe showed only the voltage. Adapter for $ 26. What could be wrong?

That's usually a fault with the subaru ECU - both the nissan altima and some subaru ECUs from early 2000 suffer a problem with not being 100% OBD2 compatible
However there is a workaround in torque that tries to address this issue. If you're not getting anywhere could you:
* Let torque try to connect for a minute or two (the ignition needs to be on but the engine doesnt need to be running)
* After it's tried to connect, go to the 'Realtime Information' activity, and press Menu->More->Send comms debug logs
* Type in your forum name &subaru legacy into the description field so I know who you are and press send/ok and I'll get the debugs and have a look for you to see what's up

The screenshot shows what is wrong encoding. I used the ANSI. how to properly use? The fact that I can not test the translation. I put the file in the folder .torque run the program, but it is still in English.

Could you email the file to ian@prowl.org - the forum loses some of the character encodings for your language if you post it straight in there

was going try translation on the paid version..but can't get it to work? is the feature supported on recent Torque paid?
