Hi, I have a problem - I bought a new phone (Newman N1, viz http://etotalk.com/newman-n1-gorilla-glass-ecompass-android40-dual-core10ghz-3g-dual-sim-43qhd-ips_p3115.html ) with Android 4.0.4. I installed Torque and then track recorder. Torque software works well, but recorder not. When I want to start record, I tap on the "Not Recording", the notice change for 1 second to red notice "Starting"... Then the notice change back to "Not Recording" and the screen freeze. Then I have to move out of Track Recorder and go into that again - then the screen is OK. But still not recording...

Hi!

If you go into the plugin settings and change the video quality/size does it then start working?

This will be likely due to some strange issue with the camera on those devices - I'll try to work this out in the next update for it.

Unfortunately the camera API is full of bugs/issues like this where it will work on one device perfectly but not another manufacturers device

having the same issue with THL W8 phone (MTK 6589), resp. it seems that the video is recorded correctly - but when trying to stop recording - it freezes (and the video file is corrupted).

The correctly recorder video - only idea, because the size of file is relatively correct to the time how long it 'records').

Tried to save to external memory + internal memory (phone has the internal memory mapped to /mnt/sdcard1 and the SD card is mapped to /mnt/sdcard2).

If there is anything how could I help you to figure the problem - ask me!

Thanks!

On my S3, it records initially. But freezes if one of the following happens:

1. If I get a call or message in between
2. When the phone locks on its own after the scheduled 30 seconds or so

In any case, I was never able to get the video recorded for more than 9 minutes (that too only once, with the option to keep the screen on). Mostly, in about 30 - 35 seconds, the recording stops working.

Any thoughts what might be happening. I am facing this on stock as well as rooted ROM.

Nearly ready to send out an update to address most of the issues with this!

The short term fix is to change the recording resolution in the settings to something that the android device accepts

the gauges are not in the raw video. The app adds them in based on csv file created during the recording. You have to encode the video on your pc with a torque pgm to encode the gauges into the video. check out:

After several tries to contact Ian and no response from his personal mail and also through this forum i considered to uninstall the software and asked for a refund, sorry Ian, but i expected atleast a comment from your side...
I'm sorry but i won't pay for somthing that doesn't work, or worst, a developer who is not replying to customers...

I have the same problem, I start to record at 720p or 1080p and the screen freezes ... only can record in high quality. If only you could select the videos will be stored on the sd card (class 10) I think the problem would be solved but not give you that option.
Are someone been the same and managed to solve it?
