Hey all,
I've been using torque pro with my Samsung Ultra Transform now for about 5 months and this past Sunday it started to act flaky. It would lock up on me and wouldn't work again until I shut off and restarted my car, then it would lock up again saying that it was unable to connect with the ODB2 and to make sure I had the right device or to reboot my android. I turned off the "faster communication" option and that seem to solve it... for a few hours... Now it won't pair with my car at all.
As I said I've been using it for the past 5 months with the "faster communication" option on, and now it won't pair with my car at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jake
EDIT: I've also tried uninstalling torque pro and unparing the OBD2 and then re-pairing it with no luck.
Do you have a laptop with bluetooth you can test to see if the OBD adapter still works?
What brand adapter is it?
It's showing up on my MacBook Pro's device list. And it's and AGPtek from Amazon.
And the popup says "No response from OBD2, Did you select the right device? / Reboot Android device"
I'm pretty sure that the OBD2 adapter is shot, so now to buy a ScanTool one that won't die so quickly.
The BT connection may work, but it sounds like the communication (elm327) side is shot.

That's what I mean
I'm thinking the adapter has given up too
However, there is one other bug in samsungs that could interfere as well and is worth checking for
Some devices don't like multiple bluetooth connections at the same time (music streaming, handsfree, OBD2, etc) and start acting flakey. If you have other bluetooth devices connected at the same time, then temporarily un-pair them and see if that makes a difference
My phone is only ever paired with the OBD2, or I'd give that a shot
