Hi,
I have the latest paid version of the app and I was trying to make a custom PID for the short and long term fuel % trim. Upon pressing "ok" in the app to save it, the app force closed on me. I used the standard settings found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs. To be clear, I didn't have the phone connected to the ECU as I was just inputting the information for future use. Do I need to have it connected to the vehicle when I try to make a PID? Can these be included in a future release? As you may know, analyzing short and long fuel % trim are great for diagnostics.
This is a fantastic app and it's almost convinced my uncle to ditch his $ 10,000 Snap-on brick, with it's $ 2,000 every 6 months software updates, and get an android device and this app. Keep up the good work!
My phone is a rooted T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using the latest CyanogenMod 6.1 nightly (froyo).
Can someone point me in the right direction to input the numbers so this will work. I've seen it mentioned in another thread but nothing about actually inputting the numbers.
Ok, after looking at the numbers I realize that short and long term fuel trim are part of the app as Fuel trim bank 1 sensor 1, fuel trim bank 1 sensor 2, etc. Looking at the numbers shown in the app, fuel trim bank1 sensor 1 appears to be short term and fuel trim bank 1 sensor 2 is long term. The problem is while Fuel trim bank 1 sensor 1 will change, fuel trim bank 1 sensor 2 is locked at 99.2%. The same occurs with fuel trim bank 2 sensor 1, etc.
Could someone please shed some light on this?
This is an old thread, but I am seeing the same 99.2% issue. Was there ever a solution?
How do I setup the app to measure fuel trim
