If you can't see the adapter in the Andorid Bluetooth settings, then it is likely that either:

* Something else has connected to the adapter

or

* The adapters bluetooth module is faulty or transmitting slightly off-frequency for bluetooth (For clone devices, it is usually due to cheap components used in some clone devices)

If you can't pair it to the phone (which you should be able to do with any bluetooth device) then you should send it back to the seller for a replacement - they are aware that some clone adapters can be 'dud' like this

I tested the adptador with another mobile phone like mine and it worked. The difference between them is that my version is 2.3.6 fimware the other is 2.3.3.

It could still be the adapter or a bluetooth issue with the phone you can check the phone bit easily:

* temporarily unpair all your bluetooth devices
* reboot the phone (this is important)
* attempt to re-pair the adapter to the phone, whilst no other devices that are paired to that adapter (including laptops) are in range/powered up.

If you can't see the adapter even when scanning for bluetooth in androids settings, then it's likely that there is a radio issue with the adapter or it's already talking to another device

That won't be the issue. If the phone can't see the ELM, then something is either connected to it, or there is an issue with the radio module in the adapter (which is causing some devices to see it, and others not to. This can happen if the xtal used isn't quite at the correct frequency. if it is slightly out then it could be an edge-case where some devices can see it and others can't).

I have problem with my Samasung Galaxy Gio too.

Bluetooth Gio can't see Bluetooth ELM327,
But BT Gio can see other mobile BT another brand (Even China product) And Other BT (Even China product) can see ELM327.

Already visit 3 (There) Samsung Service Center in Jakarta, Install ulang & regenerasi IMEI (Info Service Center) but nothing solve the problem.

Is there issue with Bluetooth Samasung Galaxy GIO?

Hi!

If your device can't see the bluetooth adapter to pair with it (in the main android bluetooth settings) then this may mean there is an issue with the adpater's bluetooth radio unit

If you can see other devices from the android device, then your bluetooth is working fine - it is likely the ELM327 unit if you can't see it over bluetooth
