Hi Chaps and Ladies,

I have recommended Torque (Paid version) to one of my clients (and best mate).

The planned set up is as follows:

BMW 1er 135iM (UK Spec)
BMW DME (ECU)
ELM327 Bluetooth
Samsung Galaxy Tab
Clarion Bluetooth replacement Head Unit

Applications in use:
Torque Paid Version
Google Navigation
Media Player

Questions - Will the bluetooth stack cope with a second paired device (i.e. the Clarion Head Unit, for TTE enabled Sat Nav and DRM free digital music)?

Is the ELM327 Bluetooth the preferred device for torque?

My client was keen to have a "BMW" looking virtual dash - so I've posted up an "OEM" looking feel. This could be made to be really trick if it had a "night mode" on it - i.e. change the font to red. Is this possible?

Many thanks - and what a wonderful product. I've d/l to my HTC Desire and will test the GPS with it (haven't bought the ELM327 yet)...it's for a '97 BMW E36 318is coupe; very early OBDII, so I will be very impressed if it works!!!

Sounds like a cool setup, fingers crossed that it works on the car.
I too have recommended this app to a good friend, but he is a Remapper by trade, so he has a keen interest in being able to read fault codes prior to any ECU mapping, and the ability to prove any power gains without an expensive rolling road.
I sent him details of what i have experienced and he emailed me back asking for links to the application and the scan tool i am using.

That's sounds like a very cool setup. I've recommended the paid Torque to probably 3-4 good friends and they haven't been disappointed. To answer a few of your questions. I've been able to run torque along with streaming music via A2DP and voice calls to the head unit of my car with no problems. I use the HTC EVO the Samsung galaxy tab should be able to also since it's running a fast enough processor. Bluetooth devices I've recommended the PLX bluetooth to all my friends so far. I own one myself and haven't had any issues with it.

Best Regards,

Road_Wx

Thanks for that!

1 further question...has anybody got any experience using a Piggyback ECU with Torque (I am assuming a pass through port, or the original OBDII port is available for the BMW GT1 service tool)
