Hi
I am a Torque pro user i have used it on a few of my cars, and i think it's by far the best app around.
I just got a new car and was pleased to see Nissan consult protocol was in Torque as my new car is a 96 R33 Nissan. I use a consult adapter with a rs232 serial output this goes to a lm-058 serial to Bluetooth adapter.
I have tested a bunch of different apps from my PC to the adapter via Bluetooth and communication to the consult system is fine over the Bluetooth link. When using Torque though it seems to fail to talk to the car the adapter symbol goes solid but the car symbol keeps flashing.
I know only one consult adapter is recommended however i have seen a post from Ian that said others should work but he only had that one for testing.
I would love to get this working for this car, i don't know if I'm missing a trick here but i can't see any reason it shouldn't work. is there anything i can do my end to help get this working with this kind of setup? the serial adapter is programmable and needed setting up to work with PC apps, is a certain setup needed to work with torque?. any help anyone can give to getting this working is appreciated.

still looking for help with this 🙁
I guess support for nissan is still in development stages. I have an idea don't know if it would work. maybe Ian could reverse engineer one of those windows apps and take it from there. Dude i really hope to get this thing working. so far i got coolant temperature and gps speed. will let you know.
Hi!
There will be an update Tuesday which hopefully moves Consult support on a bit from where it was last left
See: https://torque-bhp.com/forums/?wpforumaction=viewtopic&t=7432.0
It uses the consultBT adapter though (this is a specific bluetooth adapter). Don't go and purchase one just yet until I get it working properly, which the coming update should hopefully improve on
(the main sticking point is a lack of a nissan ECU to test with, so I'm doing this kind of remotely via updates and debug files being sent back)
